MOiDA Typographic Identity

The MOIDA wordmark was developed alongside the brand symbol. Through the typography, I explored how MOIDA could have a contemporary and structured identity while still expressing some of the warmth and personality of a small food business.

The bold “M” connects the wordmark to the main symbol. For the other letters, I worked with a combination of geometric lines, curves, and open spaces to create a balanced rhythm. The slightly irregular shape of the “O” can also be seen as a reference to a plate or bowl, adding a softer and more organic element to the wordmark.

The subtitle “Korean Kitchen” was added to communicate the character of the business in a simple and direct way. Together, these elements were my attempt to create a visual identity that felt clear and modern while remaining connected to the handmade nature of the food.
